Current Version: Chapter 1 Part 3 (Currently available in alpha on our Patreon/Subscribestar.  Also available here for $5.)

So what is Cyber Rift?

Cyber Rift is a cross between a story-driven erotic visual novel and a point-and-click 2D adventure game (in development).

After a job gone wrong, you and your longtime friend, Fae, are on the run from your former employer, a criminal organization called the Syndicate. Their reach is enormous and motives are unknown, but being on their bad side means that you have nearly no place to go. Wanting to find a way back--or at least pay back your debt--your crew is just trying to find a way to make some money. Little do you know, you're about to stumble upon a conspiracy that could change the fate of humanity forever. On your journey across the galaxy in search of the truth, you may meet some beautiful and interesting characters along the way. From the science-inclined crewmate Fae to the joyful Everie and her mysterious connection to Project Prometheus, your crew will grow and be by your side as you journey across the stars.

Upcoming Characters:

Planned Content

The game will consist of 7 Chapters, with 4 Parts per chapter. Each major update to the game will encompass one Part, though some Parts might require more than one update. Cyber Rift is fully planned content-wise, and we have a firm map of where the future of the game will go. If, however, Patrons/Fans want to see new content or unique experiences that we didn’t initially plan on, we will be making the effort to have separate fan service updates devoted to just that.

Features

  • Both a Visual Novel and a Point-and-Click adventure
  • Tons of unique CG environments and character sprites
  • Hidden collectibles containing spicy pinups for the keen-eyed collectors
  • NSFW CG cutscenes that will be unlocked as the journey progresses
  • A kickin' soundtrack, with influences drawn from smooth jazz and R&B
  • Dozens of new backgrounds

...and much more to come!

About the Dev Team

ZeRAW is the head honcho in charge of it all. From creative directing to programming, he's got his fingers in most of the pie.  Cyber Rift is his brain child, born from a wish to see more fleshed-out erotic games with better-developed stories. In his off time, he likes to play TFT and play with his dogs.

Pluzer is the lead artist for Cyber Rift. Master of a multitude of styles, there's nothing that Pluzer can't draw! He's been part of Cyber Rift from the very beginning, working with ZeRAW to conceptualize and bring to life the world and characters of Cyber Rift.

Baki is in charge of the story and all things writing. They're a more recent addition to the team, but have been helping ZeRAW work out the story since very early on.  From manga to webcomics to visual novels, Baki has written for many a creative project and brings to the table a rare expertise. When they're not working on the game, they like to gush about fountain pens and research esoteric topics.

CyberScherzo is the head composer. From smooth jazz to classical to modern EDM, they can do it all! Their excellent music brings atmosphere and tension to the game, making Cyber Rift the experience that it deserves to be. Every game needs a killer soundtrack to go with it, and ours comes at the hands of CyberScherzo.

Previous Contributors

Hawkner is a cool dude who helped out with a lot of the programming in the earlier stages of the game. You can thank him for a lot of the animations, particularly around the space scenes. Unfortunately, sometimes life takes a front seat. We miss you, Hawkner, and appreciate everything you've done for Cyber Rift!

Any chance of impreg?

Currently we don't really have plans for that. It's not something we really have thought about, but I can definitely discuss it with the team.

Thanks for considering it! When do you think you’ll know about whether you’ll have it?

Well the main issue is the setting and does it feel appropriate. Like for games like Summertime Saga for example they have a full system where the girls get pregnant and there's even a daycare, but that really doesn't fit with what we're trying to do. Also there would be a big difference with simply having it as a cosmetic thing which also creates a lot of issues cause every outfit would have to have a pregnant version too. I'm not ruling it out but it's definitely not something we're super concerned about atm.

How about as an ending thing?

And thanks for letting me know, those are totally fair reasons!

Do you have a list of fetishes that will or won't be in the game, i.e. noncon, cheating/NTR, women with penises? Not trying to tell you what you should or shouldn't have, but it's good to have a tag list, especially to confirm or deny the pretty niche stuff.

(+1)

Hey that’s actually a good question! We haven’t fully decided what fetishes we’ll cover throughout, but I can say with certainty we won’t be doing any non-con or NTR content. Futa is probably something we’ll do in the future, but right now we don’t have a firm list. Thanks for asking tho!

I for one would look forward to girldick, but it would indeed be best being optional.

Currently we don't have plans for futa content, however i'll say we aren't ruling that out :)

This is Sunflower Games.  If you would like to join a bundle around December with me and some other devs, reply to this post.

Not really sure what you mean by bundle. What exactly are you trying to do?

I include one of your games, one of my games, and some other devs games in a bundle for a price.  We split the profit.

Ah alright, is it a "just for the holidays" bundle I'm assuming? I'm not against the idea I'm just a bit new to the whole "bundle" thing.

Yes, I now have enough devs to make a decent bundle.  I will contact you later, when the Christmas sale dates are confirmed.

Alright sounds good.

Any chance for a Linux build?

Haven't had any requests for that yet but I can look into that tonight! Currently just got the MAC version working, gonna be posting that in a few hours but we'll look into the process of making a Linux build tonight as well.

Thank you! I can also PM you on F95 if you need any help with testing the Linux build :)

That would be great! I already got a build working now (in theory), just from experience with the MAC build testing would be super useful!

Just to update you again we've released both a MAC and Linux build. Since I don't currently have a Linux computer at the ready, would really appreciate some feedback on it!

The Mac version doesn't to be able to be opened.

Ah thanks for letting us know! Most likely a packaging error on our part, will sort it out tomorrow. In the meantime if you still want to play tonight you can play on Newgrounds using the embedded version here:

Thanks, homie!

So done a bit of research on it, the issue is that Apple has some wacky thing for apps that requires them to be notarized. We think we have a solution, it's a little weird to deal with but we'll be adding it to Itch soon. Sorry for the issue, but we'll get it fixed soon after a bit more testing.

Just another small update. Turns out we're gonna have to package the build on a Mac computer, can't just do it from the Windows ones we're using. Really sorry for the inconvenience, we have a solution and gonna work on getting a friend's computer to package it.

Don't you love developing for apple

十分的愤怒!买不了!PAYPAL,付款让我绑定新的卡!但是我TM绑定的有俩张卡!我一直也是用的PAYPAL付款!

I'm afraid none of our team speaks Mandarin, but I did google translate your statement and sorry to hear you're having issues with PayPal :( . This is unfortunately on PayPal's end rather than ours however.

Is this going to be released on Steam? Cause I would love to wishlist it. If not, where else can I put a tab on updates?

So currently the plan is to finish all of Chapter 1 and then do a Steam Early Access type thing. Story/Update wise the plan is 7 Chapters and 4 Updates per chapter, so once Chapter 1 is done we'll be putting it straight on there!

Also update wise we post a lot of info on our Patreon/SubscribeStar, as well as our Discord (which can be joined on our main page. Our aim is to finish rework by end of this month and get first update done in 1-2 months. Itch build will also always be up to date with most stable version if you keep an eye on it!

Great art. Everyone was a bit too flirtatious imo. The girls need more individual personalities. They all behave and talk in very much the same way. Apart from that I quite enjoyed it. Once again, great art.

(+1)

Oh we definitely agree with that feedback! We're actually currently working on a full reboot of the game specifically to address the shortcomings of both the story and art in some areas. It's currently in active development, but you can see this public news post right here:

good game

this game seems too good to be true, mixed with the lack of comments, the fact there's no update log and how well it seems to be made it looks a little untrustworthy.

(+2)

It's mainly because we're very new, we only really got our page working about 3-4 weeks ago. We've already been updating the game since February and you can play the current version for free (paying is optional on Itch for our game), and we definitely appreciate the feedback!

tried it, it's pretty good.
